I started seminary about a year and a half ago. It's amazing how something like that affects you. My political and social views haven't changed drastically; they have just gotten more passionate. I am a Christian, but not evangelical (my opinion is that today's definition of the two are diametrically opposite.) I believe in the teachings of Christ, but also know that others have given us so much to guide us to a whole, spiritual self. I am a lesbian and am very confident that I am not excluded from the spiritual wholeness because of who I love. I am married (legally) to an amazing woman and we share a home in Cleveland, Ohio. My work, upon graduation, will continue to urban and global activism. I believe in the sacredness of all species and nature. I believe that I have a choice to carry on the legacy left to me by my parents and the generations before us. I believe that capitalism and democracy are a dangerous combination. Sometimes I like my dog better than humans.
